This role is for a hands-on Oracle Functional Support for Oracle eBusiness Suite, in particular: Core Financials, particularly AP, but also GL, and AR, Inventory, Procurement (iProc, core Purchasing), Projects, SLA, and eTax,. They would also provide expert analysis and/or documentation for:

  • system changes, enhancements and developments
  • testing for test and system.

The systems supported include:

  • Oracle e-business Suite (Finance, Inventory, Procurement, Projects).

The ISS Finance Functional Support Team provide the expert functional support for all the application components of the SSC in Finance and Procurement for their Oracle R12 systems, supporting all controlled system instances (for example:- Production, UAT, Training and other relevant instances).

They are jointly responsible with all other support team members for Data security and integrity and be proactive in identifying opportunities to maximise benefits from applications.

You will:

  • use strong analytical skills to act as Procurement/Financials applications specialist
  • lead investigation of system problems to determine type of problem and appropriate resolution
  • plan and deliver work to resolve system problems
  • work with Oracle on Service Requests
  • ensure customers and Service Desk team are advised on progress of incident and problem resolution
  • provide expert advice on system functional use as required
  • provide functional analysis/specifications for system changes, enhancements, system configuration changes
  • test systems changes in test & system instances
  • work with DBA and Technical teams as required.

Essential

  • experience in working in a service environment with large enterprise environment and in line with service standards.

A thorough understanding of functional support of Oracle eBusiness Suite R12, in particular:        

  • Core Financials, particularly AP, but also GL, AR, and CM
  • inventory
  • Oracle iProcurement
  • Oracle Purchasing
  • Oracle eBusiness Tax
  • sub ledger accounting
  • Approvals Management Engine (AME).

Desirable

  • fixed assets
  • time & labour
  • labour distribution
  • Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS)
  • AIM/OUM implementation methods
  • effort estimation for Change Requests.
