About the role

Following a recent restructure, Customer Services (operations) have numerous full-time positions available to work within our busy HR & Payroll or Finance & Procurement contact centres, dealing with a wide range of enquiries from both external and internal customers on the telephone.

Key Responsibilities

Duties to include:

  • taking incoming calls as first line support for our external and internal customers, to successful closure following investigation, in line with our service level agreements
  • taking ownership of processing information required for our customers, accurately in line with service level agreements
  • investigating and resolving queries on a range of disciplines
  • contact with our customers by phone, email and via our internal Service Request system
  • first line support activities for all HR & Payroll, Finance & Procurement system issue enquiries and resolve, as far as possible, at first point of contact
  • you will be expected to be flexible and carry out other activities when requested by your performance leader
  • you will be required to have strong attention to detail, along with good numerical and grammatical skills to produce correspondence for customers and update our Oracle system
  • you will liaise closely with customers to build and maintain good relationships and work on joint/cross-service activities, whilst working to personal and team objectives
  • opportunities to fulfil your personal and our operational objectives to work/rotate across all our contact centres.

Shortlisting Criteria and Interview Criteria

Essential:

  • previous experience in a high volume ‘front of house’ customer service environment within a large service organisation
  • qualified to ’GCSE’ level or equivalent
  • a customer focused outlook
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent organisational skills
  • team player – ability to participate and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement
  • active listening and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • experience in data entry or processing data
  • computer literate and competent in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • previous experience of working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • experience of using Oracle.
