If you're looking for an apprenticeship, you won’t find anywhere quite like here to begin your career.
We work with incredibly advanced technologies and equipment on some of the most exciting research, engineering and computing projects around.
Joining us is your chance to undertake an award winning four year advanced engineering apprenticeship, that’s recognised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Other opportunities include IT, heating and ventilation and a computing apprenticeship. Our apprenticeships combine real responsibility with structured training and learning – leading to a role in a world-class Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) or Diamond Light Source Facility (DLS).
We have roles based at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in South Oxfordshire and at our Daresbury Laboratory in Cheshire for our Advanced Engineering Apprenticeships.
More information about our Apprenticeships and the Apprenticeship open day can be found here.
If you want a career in software development or systems administration we have exciting opportunities to work with the latest technologies to drive advances in both hardware and software that have very genuine real world application. The scheme provides fully funded class room learning allowing our apprentices to gain a foundation degree. If apprentices are offered a permanent position at the end of the scheme there may be further opportunity to continue learning and convert this to a fully recognised BSc honours degree.
