UK SBS faces an unprecedented degree of change, and the Business Change Directorate will be in the driving seat of this exciting journey! To help us achieve this, we're looking to recruit a 'BCD Support Officer'. The scope of the role is larger than just administrator and provides the perfect opportunity for someone looking to start their career in change/project management.

This role is pivotal to the directorate, you will become the 'go-to' person, being responsible for the provision of a first class administrative and facilitative service. In doing so, you will:

  • Arrange a variety of meetings, on behalf of Directorate colleagues including the preparation and distribution of meeting materials/papers, as well as the taking of notes/minutes
  • Support the PMO in obtaining project progress reports and cover short term absences such as annual leave (essential activities only)
  • Provide clear and concise advice and guidance on the Change Request process, project status and portfolio status as required
  • Support Project Managers, Architects and/or Business Analysts with project delivery activities
  • Supporting internal quality assurance activities as directed by the Portfolio Officer
  • Provide general admin support across the directorate, for example, making travel arrangements, raising purchase orders, creation and collation of project materials and document sets etc.
  • Be the Records Management Champion for the Directorate, and administer the Directorate SharePoint site by (i) making sure information is up-to-date and fit for purpose, and (ii) developing and maintaining an effective records management filing system
  • With guidance from the recruiting manager, take the lead for the directorate’s recruitment activities administering the process from point of approval to onboarding
  • Support all Learning & Development activities across the Directorate
  • Assist with all events management activities for the Directorate, e.g. quarterly away days, social events, etc.
  • Support the creation and distribution of Directorate wide communications
  • Provide specific support to the Enterprise Architect through activities such as writing up notes into Word/PowerPoint slides; preparation of documents; mailbox and diary management
  • Ensuring adequate administrative cover is always available to BCD, through careful arrangement of absences, and cover for other administrator duties
  • Any other duties as required by the Line Manager commensurate with this position.
